As I was attempting to see who blogged within the last day I found myself clicking on the links to the right. Ugh!! Very time consuming. Then I remembered that last term I had taken the time to put all of the links into my Google Reader. It truly made finding the most updated blogs very easy to find. So, if you haven't signed up for that I strongly suggest that you do. You'll be glad that you did.
Beginning of Term Feast
The feast was fabulous! Because of the varying time zones we had two feasts scheduled for today. I seriously wished that I'd had my Orange Cranberry scone from Starbucks on hand. In any case there seemed to be lots of firewhiskey being passed around the morning session, while the evening session was filled with many desserts.Items of discussion were what should be in the kits, queries about Quidditch, and Lavender Ackerly updated us on how many returning students are in each house -
12 Gryffindors
16 Hufflepuffs
7 Ravenclaws
6 Slytherins
16 Hufflepuffs
7 Ravenclaws
6 Slytherins
A few funny videos were shared and, by the looks of it, the feast carried on for almost the entire day! Chatty bunch you all are! If you haven't had the chance to participate in a chat, please make the time to do so. It is such a neat part of this swap to be able to get to know the others that are participating.
Now, will all join me in singing the house song?

where is this mysterious Google Reader?
The Google Reader is Amazing! The things we learn at Hogwarts. Its truely good magic!
But our dear Lavender Ackerly is mistaken. There are 16 returning Ravenclaws...not 7!
Is it the small feeds button? that is the google reader?
Unfortunately, I didn't make it to the feast, my son didn't want to sleep so I was way too late for the first one and the second one was in the middle of the night for me
Wisteria, I think she means that this is where all the returning students have filtered to.
Dearest Headmistress Winnie, those are the numbers of first years in each house, not returning students.
Google reader can be found at http://www.google.com/reader/
Love the house song - not seen that on film before. How uplifting!
If you use Outlook or Outlook express for your email there is a free program called RSS Popper that is a plugin that puts all the new blog posts from your favorite blogs right into your unread mail folder. Very convenient. And it will read your blogroll from bloglines if you are already using that. http://rsspopper.blogspot.com/
Where *did* the video for the Hogwarts Song come from? Was it an extra on the DVD?? I don't think I got the fourth DVD with extras or anything... :/
And my apologies for not making the chat- as I'm also a muggle teacher, I must have a good bedtime. 9 PM EST was just a wee bit too late for me. ): But only until June 5th! :D
